About Gavin Hurley

Gavin F. Hurley has taught the rhetorical arts and consulted writing for 10 years. He is currently an Assistant Professor of English at University of Providence where he teaches developmental writing, introductory writing, and advanced persuasive writing. He earned his Ph.D. in writing and rhetoric from University of Rhode Island (RI) and an M.A. in the Writing Arts from Rowan University (NJ). His essays on rhetoric have appeared within various academic journals, print and digital periodicals, and essay collections for presses like Routledge, Palgrave, and Bloomsbury.
