2023 Get Started Right Writing Challenge: Day 4
Get your writing goals started right in 2023 with the first ever Get Started Right Writing Challenge. The fourth day gets a little social.
Welcome to the fourth (and middle) day of the seven-day Get Started Right Writing Challenge! It's been really exciting to see everyone show up each day and share the start of 2023 together.
For the fourth day, I want everyone to do something a little different. That is, let's connect on social media. After all, connecting with other writers is very beneficial, even if you don't have aspirations of fame, fortune, and viral TikTok videos. While I often see things I don't like on social media, I also find writers sharing things I do: like funny writing-related comics and memes, inspirational poems, good news about other writers, writing contest announcements, and so much more.
So if you're not on social media, here's a good chance to create a profile on one, whether it's Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or something else. And if you're comfortable with it, share your profile in the comments below (and friend and follow each other). I've included my personal social accounts below and welcome new friend requests and follows.
Also, if you're just adamantly against social media, no worries. Just include a brief note in the comments below that states as much (and no need to justify your position).
Note on commenting: If you wish to comment on the site, go to Disqus to create a free new account, verify your account on this site below (one-time thing), and then comment away. It's free, easy, and the comments (for the most part) don't require manual approval like on the old site. That said, I will be checking a couple times per day to approve the few that do get caught in the spam filters for whatever reason.
