First Day Jitters
Every writer needs a little inspiration once in a while. For today’s prompt, your character is anxious about their first day in a new place.
As a kid, I loved the first day of school. Shopping for new clothes and school supplies, as well as having the chance to see my friends almost every day during the week? Nothing could have been better!
But, weirdly, as an adult, I have nightmares about being a kid on their first day of school. When I'm stressed, my brain's go-to is horrible scenarios about not finding the right classrooms, being able to open my locker, or even not recognizing a single person in any of my classes.
For this week's prompt, your character is anxious about their first day. It doesn't have to be a school—it could be a new job, moving into a new home, or even joining a social club. Just get them out of their comfort zone, and let your imagination fly!
