Hyperfocus

Every writer needs a little inspiration once in a while. For today’s prompt, your character is trapped in hyperfocus.

Any other ADHD brains out there? Lately, I've been learning how to harness the power of hyperfocus—periods of deep and intense concentration. When I'm in this space, I get so involved that I don't notice time passing, getting hungry, or even when my spouse decides to go to bed.

For this week's prompt, let's trap your character in hyperfocus. Are they on the verge of a breakthrough? Is there something important going on around them that they're missing?

Post your response (500 words or fewer) in the comments below.
