Outgrowing Traditions

Every writer needs a little inspiration once in a while. For today’s prompt, a child considers themselves too mature for the usual family tradition.

Fall was always my favorite time of year—going pumpkin picking with my mom, corn mazes with friends, hay wagon rides, Dutch Fall Days festivals, trick or treating, the works! But as always happens, eventually I outgrew some of these traditions.
