2024 February Flash Fiction Challenge: Day 10

Write a piece of flash fiction each day of February with the February Flash Fiction Challenge, led by Managing Editor Moriah Richard. Each day, receive a prompt, example story, and write your own. Today’s prompt is to write a cult’s call to action.

For today's prompt, write a cult’s call to action.

Remember: These prompts are just starting points; you have the freedom to go wherever your flash of inspiration takes you.

(Note: If you run into any issues with posting your story, please just send me an e-mail at mrichard@aimmedia.com with the subject line: Flash Fiction Challenge Commenting Issue.)

Here’s my attempt at a cult's call to action:

The Modern Cult's Call

Outcast. Oddball. Black sheep. These are terms society slaps on souls functioning on a higher vibration, spiritual wanderers who see through the capitalist propaganda and are seeking that deep, undeniable connection that comes from a community of people who are just like you.

Have you been cast aside and ignored by lower-frequency individuals? Are you ready to connect with the Divine and join the family who has been waiting for you? Are you ready to do the inner work and crack through this world’s dingy façade to tap into true nirvana?
