2020 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 10

For the 2020 November PAD Chapbook Challenge, poets are tasked with writing a poem a day in the month of November before assembling a chapbook manuscript in the month of December. Today’s two-for-Tuesday prompt is to write an easy and/or difficult poem.

Today is another two-for-Tuesday prompt day. You can pick one prompt, pick both prompts, or even write one poem that attempts to do them both.

For today’s prompt:

  • Write an easy poem, and/or...
  • Write a difficult poem.

Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at an Easy and/or Difficult Poem:

“tell myself”

It's easy to know what is real
and what is just a stupid dream.
It's not as if it's some big deal
to figure out just what is real,
and what it is I merely feel
could be much more than what it seems--
it's easy to know what is real
and what is just a stupid dream.
