2021 April PAD Challenge: Day 27
Write a poem every day of April with the 2021 April Poem-A-Day Challenge. For today’s prompt, write a Believe and/or Don’t Believe poem.
Well, today is our final Two-for-Tuesday prompt until November when we pick up the November PAD Chapbook Challenge (look for an announcement in October). Related to that, I am still trying to finalize the results of the 2020 November PAD Chapbook Challenge. I have not forgotten and will do my best to get them in before the end of the month.
For this Two-for-Tuesday prompt:
- Write a believe poem and/or...
- Write a don't believe poem.
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Believe and/or Don't Believe Poem:
"i could be their kind"
i've felt the anger fill me
& the fear shedding like skin
into the light slanting through blinds
blinding me with worry for the future
bending in so many imperceptible ways
