2021 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 28
For the 2021 November PAD Chapbook Challenge, poets are tasked with writing a poem a day in the month of November before assembling a chapbook manuscript in the month of December. Today’s prompt is to write a slow down poem.
Well, there are only three days left in this year's challenge. Wish time would slow down, but there's nothing I can do about it. Or is there?
For today's prompt, write a slow down poem. That is, write a poem about slowing things down. Or write about something that helps time slow down for you. Another option is to write about the friction between the fast life and the slow life.
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Slow Down Poem:
“final mile”
And now we're on the final mile
running out of minutes to race.
My lips are curved in a fake smile
as we begin the final mile
knowing it's for only a while
that I have to keep up this pace
as we finish this final mile
running out of minutes to race.
