2023 April PAD Challenge: Day 18
Write a poem every day of April with the 2023 April Poem-A-Day Challenge. For today’s prompt, we have our third two-for-Tuesday prompt.
For today's prompt, we have our third two-for-Tuesday prompt, which means you get two prompts, and they are:
- Write a love poem, and/or...
- Write an anti-love poem.
As longtime participants know, this is my favorite prompt, which is why it returns every challenge. Write a love poem, or write a not-love poem. By the way, if you need some inspiration, here are the best love poems (according to me anyway).
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Later this month, be sure to check out the 2nd annual Writer's Digest Poetry Writing Virtual Conference with four great presentations put on by award-winning poets covering a variety of topics, including how to put together poetry collections and bring fresh insight to familiar ideas.

Here’s my attempt at a Love and/or Anti-Love Poem:
"portrait of an early morning couple, part 2"
leaning against a building
& each other
neither says a word
but enjoys the cool wind
waiting for the next bus
as the cars fly by
(Note on today's poem: For those who are interested, the original "portrait of an early morning couple" exists in my poetry collection, Solving the World's Problems.)
