Wednesday Poetry Prompts: 729

For this week's prompt, take the phrase "Just Like (blank)," replace the blank with a new word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem. Possible titles might include: "Just Like Superman," "Just Like the Other Day," "Just Like a Lawyer," "Just Like Me (or Not)," and/or "Just Like It Was Meant to Be."

Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Since nobody else raised their hand,
I raised mine. And then, I did one thing
after the other without knowing what

would happen next and eventually
everyone said, "good job," and, "you
really know what you're doing," and,

of course, the trick is that I never did
(and still don't) outside of being
the one who always raised his hand.
