Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni is the bestselling author of 17 books, including Before We Visit the Goddess, Oleander Girl, The Mistress of Spices, Sister of My Heart and more. Her work has been translated into 29 languages and has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, and The New York Times. She also has won an American Book Award.
